Remedios

If I remember my facts properly, Remedios was one of the first towns in Cuba, Relocated from the coast due to constant attacks from pirates. I had a drink in the 'first bar' in Cuba, However here is also where I was getting over the tail end of tropical sickness many visitors to the country seem to be taken down with. For some, it lasts a day, others, a a few more. My recommendation is to take a day in bed, try eating something and take yourself a diarrhea tablet for the tail end of said sickness. The tour buses stop off here but they arrive late so the town is yours for most the day and when the bus does arrive, take a walk out of town, or as far away from a toilet as you dare if you are sick!

Moron

Moron seemed to be a cheaper more interesting option than the beaches to the north, and my plan was to rent a bike and drive it. I did it, it was fun, what else... umm great Casa... run out of fuel on a Moped that had no Fuel gauge. Had a army man stare me down after I parked outside his Army base, then he called a friend to also stare at me. I contemplated driving by a second time and waving, I chickened out.
Also sorry no actual real pictures of Moron apart from the rooftops, its not the most photogenic place in Cuba.

The Last Resort.

In the land of a thousand resorts and all inclusive-ness Varadero, I headed up to find the beaches. At the end of my journey around the country, I know, Still pictures are not in order, but what do you care? While doing my best to stay away from any Hotel or Resorts, (nothing against them, just not what I was after) I found my most expensive accommodation, but it was near a cake shop so... whatever. I could only recommend this place for a couple of days- Cuba in there desperate situation of needing an economy has created a tourist mecca of five star hotels, restaurants, planned activity ect ect, only if your looking for the need to relax for a week or two should you stay longer,  As you can see though, there is still enough space for you to go and find a quite spot.
On a side note.. I had the worst food I have ever been unfortunate enough to pay for here in one of the main street restaurants.

YIP

I wanna dance by water near the Mexican sky
Drink some Margaritas by a string of blue lights
Listen to the Mariachi play at midnight

Empty streets.

Cuba and America.

many times you take a picture in Cuba its impossible not to capture America as well. Obviously now we would call these cars Cuban, and rightly so, some many Cuban man hours have gone into keeping cars with no spare parts running for so many years.
Most of your average Cubans want to see America back with open arms, and from what I saw its almost a 'cool' statement to plaster stickers of the apple logo on your car windows, or dress in the stars and stripes.

VS Cuba

A little out of order, this is the second visit to Havana, but I wanted to put my favorite image on-the-line.
