After three hard days working in a muscle factory to try and earn some money, it was closed down and I was out of work and low on cash. however when the money for the three days work I did eventualy rolled into my account we desided (me and some friends from the hostel I have been staying at) that the easter break would be a good time to go see a bit more of the country.
We headed to Gisbourne for sunrise which is my first sunrise in New Zealand and I think only the second I have ever seen. Wayne drove us all night to get there in time, leaving at 3 in the morning and arrived 3 mins before sunrise, perfect timing for a perfect sunrise. We spent a while on the beach before heading past taupo to go to the Tongariro crossing.
