Auroras Borealis

Apparently we had a good chance of seeing auroras borealis last night. So like a lemon I left the warm fire I had going and walked out into the middle of a field and stood around for a while in the freezing cold. NZs lowest temperature ever recorded hit the day before yesterday, i think it was -26, and no lights. Shame.

Not sure if i put any of these online before. but not much pictures being taken by me lately. To much chilling- snowboarding and drinking to make purty pics.

Powder treck.

Sam, Sam, Sam. We went for a walk up a mountain because fresh snow is fun. The snow was so powdery even tho I had converse with holes in the bottom and thick socks my feet remained dry for most the trek.  My only regret was not taking a snowboard up with me. The ride down would have been amazing fun, next time. But to make up for it we finished by doing some doughnuts in the truck before leaving the mountain.
Then it was back home to sit by the fire and play Gears of War 2 for a few hours.

Every house should have a fire pit in there garden for winter, my one makes our garden the warmest place in the house at nights. Mix with Music, Friends and of course some Liquor for a good birthday.
