Love the lakes district, this was my first visit and it blew me away, I imagen peak summer would be crowded but I went late and was quiet enough for me.

Long, hard walk. Don't underestimate this one should you go. Plenty of water, rain coat even if its a sunny day, some nuts and a sandwich is my recommended minimum carry.
